MEDWAY – Dell Ward Turner, 67, died peacefully surrounded by family Jan. 1, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. Dell was born June 14, 1938, in Easton, to Daniel and Hazel (Giberson) Turner. He was married to his beloved wife and best friend, Mavis (Gray) Turner for 42 years. Living his earlier years in Easton and later moving to Medway, Dell was an avid fisherman and hunter. His greatest love was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Mavis, he is survived by son, Mark and wife, Kathy, of Pittsfield, N.H.; and daughter, Holly and husband, Jeff Jandreau, of Medway; beloved grandchildren include, Mark and Jesse Hanington, Daniel Jandreau, Alyssa Ramsey, Lyndsey and Dayna Jandreau and Cassandra Keene. Dell is also survived by twin sister, Pheobe and Earl Waters of Houston, Texas; brother, Daniel Turner and wife, Joan, of Easton; sister, Grace and husband, Fran Nasser, of Fall River, Mass.; sister, Esther Turner of Houston, Texas; sister, Rita and husband, Jan Lepovitz, of Alvin, Texas; and sister, Dena Susee of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by brother, William Turner. Dell will be greatly missed by family and friends, including his special nephew, Hugh Turner and very special friend, Royce Sargeant, whose help and love was greatly appreciated and whose friendship he couldn’t have done without. Visiting hours will begin 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Zion Pentecostal Church in Mattawamkeag. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Zion Pentecostal Church, with the Rev.
