NELLYSFORD, Va. – Dixie Dean Harris Trainer, 69, of Valleymont Lane, Nellysford, Va. passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at her residence. Born Nov. 4, 1936, in New Orleans, she was a daughter of the late Richard Harris and Evelyn Triche Harris of Mamaroneck, N.Y. Dixie was a self-employed distributor for The Souvenir Building Network. She was the founding member of The Souvenir Building Collectors Society and editor of the Societies newsletter for 10 years and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, W. Terrance Trainer; sons, Kevin D. Trainer of Kittery and Colin P. Trainer of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a brother, Richard Harris of Tampa, Fla. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lovingston, Va., with Father Daniel Kelly, officiating, with interment to follow in Mount View Cemetery in Lovingston. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home and suggest that memorials take the form of contribution to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Rd., Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
