MADAWASKA – Donald Martin, 77, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born March 20, 1929, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, the son of Fred and Delia (Morin) Martin. Don worked in the finishing room at Frasier Paper for 27 years, retiring in 1979. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lorraine (Soucy) Martin of Madawaska; one daughter, Lynn Clavette and her husband, Daniel, of Frenchville; two sons, David and his wife, Mary Martin, of Dover, N.H., and Paul Martin of Frenchville; one sister, Corinne Theriault of St. Jacques, New Brunswick; two grandchildren, Scott Clavette and Julie Clavette, both of Frenchville; several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by 10 siblings, Ida, Emelie, Lena, Jeanne, Winnie, Leanne, Nicee, Willard, Cyr, and Laurette. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 4, and 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring at the parish cemetery.
