CROSS LAKE and ST. FRANCIS – Donn David Morris, 35, died peace-fully Aug. 20, 2005, in his beloved home surrounded by his family and friends. Donn was born March 25, 1970, in Fort Kent, the son of Dale and Dallas (Kelly) Morris. He grew up in St. Francis and graduated from Fort Kent Community High School, Class of 1988. Donn very proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1988-1992. He attended college in South Carolina but his love for his family and home brought him back to Maine. On Aug. 28, 1998, Donn married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie M. Hartt, and for Donn there was no other place to raise his family. Following in his fathers footsteps he loved the peace, tranquility and oneness; he enjoyed fishing on the rivers and hunting in the woods of his beautiful Northern Maine “Up Home.” Donn will be lovingly missed by his wife, Stephanie M. (Hartt) Morris; and their daughter, Faith Donn Morris; and mother, Dallas K. Morris of St. Francis; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tim and Jen Hartt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jessica and Jamie Lamarre and child, Kathleen Dora Lamarre, all of Wallagrass; sister, Twyla Watson and her husband, Clyde, and children, Gabriel and Gustav of Freburg; sister, Hallie, Humphrey and her husband, Todd, and children, Cerise, Evan and Jalen, of Cornish; brother, Lyle Morris and wife, Violette, and children, Hannah, Luke and Leah, of Woburn, Mass.; brother, Leonard Morris and his wife, Rachel, and children, Hallie Samuel and Liam, of Waldoboro; sister, Kelly Kiester and her husband, Greg, and children, Levi, Jordan and Deliah, of Fremont, Mich.; brother, Hale Morris and his wife, Jennifer, and son, Hale Arthur, of Rockland; sister, Marla Morris-Brann and her husband, Eric, and children, Sierra, Savannah and Bowen, of Washington; and sister, Myah Tabbutt and her husband, Don, and son Landonn R., of Warren. In heaven, Donn joins his Savior, Jesus Christ and his father, Dale Arthur Morris. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. There will be no visitation on Thursday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, at Mountain View Bible Church, Eagle Lake with Pastor Gary Gardner officiating. Committal service with full military honors will follow in St. Paul’s Congregational Cemetery in St. Francis.
