LITTLE DEER ISLE – Dora L. Hutchinson, 82, wife of Edward, passed away April 29, 2006, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. She was born Oct. 26, 1923, the daughter of Lena and Arthur Goodwin. Dora graduated from Deer Isle High School and Beals Business School. Surviving in addition to her husband, Edward; are her five children, Bonnie McPike and her husband, Doug, of Bangor, Glen Eaton of Georgetown, Elaine Booker of Rockport, Jim Eaton and his wife, Candy, of Little Deer Isle and Maggie Hutchinson and her husband, David, of Deer Isle; four step-children, Ted Hutchinson of Connecticut, Jean Hutchinson of Blue Hill, David Hutchinson of Deer Isle, and Cathy Shaver of Connecticut; 13 wonderful grandchildren, 13 precious great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Chesley Goodwin and his wife, Peggy, of Rumney, N.H. She was predeceased by her brother, Lloyd Goodwin in 1999. In 1966, Dora was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Milton Eaton. A celebration of her life will be held at a time to be announced at Saunders Memorial Congregational Church in Little Deer Isle with the Rev. Harald Smedal officiating. Interment will be at Howards Hill Cemetery, Little Deer Isle.
