EASTON – Doris L. Patterson, 83, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 13, 1920, in Beconsfield, N.B. Canada, the daughter of Guy A. and Birdie (Clark) Kennedy. Doris was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family very much. She loved cooking and reading cookbooks. She is survived by two sons, Orville “Sonny” Patterson Jr. and his fianc‚e, Anne Morrow of Bangor, Dennis Patterson and his fianc‚e, Michelle Moseley of Dover N.H.; two daughters, Bonnie Anderson and her husband, Andy, of Chestnut Hill, Mass., Nancy Burnham of Mars Hill; a brother, Ronald Kennedy and his wife, Mary, of Bairdsville, N.B.; grandchildren, Aimee Patterson, Shea Patterson, Brian Hanigan, Nathan Hanigan, Kristen Hanigan, Renie Anne Morrow-Patterson, Margaret Marie Morrow-Patterson, Stephen Burtt Jr. and his wife, Lisa, Sherri Wilcox, Melissa Hatcher and her husband, Jason, Katrina Leman, Jenny Barry and husband, Keith, Seth Locke, Greg Ford, Jeffery Ford and his wife, Fran, Beth Peterson and her husband, Berry; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and also a special friend, Hollis Kimball of Easton. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Orville A. Patterson; three brothers, Leo, Glen, and Graydon; two sisters, Lois Plant and Madeline Kramer. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Mars Hill with Pastor Beth Ann Black officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Smith Cemetery Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate in Doris’s memory to the Community Cupboard, P.O.
