BLAINE – Wayman O. Fletcher, 84, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born July 25, 1919, in Mars Hill, the son of Waldo and Lottie (York) Fletcher. Wayman and his wife, Arlene were married in 1947 and had 56 wonderful years together. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He purchased his farm in 1947 and retired from farming in 1978. He also drove school bus for S.A.D. 42 from 1958 to 1992. Wayman attended the Full Gospel Assembly in Mars Hill He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene (Lunn) Fletcher of Blaine; children, Sandra Delong of Hartland, New Brunswick, Peggy Dupree of Bonneau, S.C., Twila Tarbox and her husband, Ray, of Blaine, Marla Mean and her husband, Eric, of Blaine, Leah Guerry of Bonneau, S.C., Vinal Fletcher of Monticello; a brother, Wallie and his wife, Doris, of Mars Hill; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Joy Fletcher; three brothers, Allan, Charles, and Fred; four sisters, Helen Hotham, Opal Beals, Anita Fletcher and Ethel McPherson. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at the Full Gospel Assembly in Mars Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday at the church with the Reverends Richard Bell and Mark Carter officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Kings Grove Cemetery.
