EASTPORT – Doris V. Hall, 79, passed away Oct. 13, 2003, at an Eastport nursing home. She was born June 28, 1924, in Calais, the daughter of Ralph and Lena (Sampson) Hatt. She was a hard and loyal worker all her life, first in local fish factories and then for 28 years for Eastport Memorial Hospital, then Eastport Nursing Home. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Compton of North Carolina and Linda Featherson of Eastport; four grandchildren, Vicki Compton of Bath, and David Compton of North Carolina, Patrick Shannon and his wife, Tonya, of New York and Dwayne Shannon of Mapleton; two stepchildren, Kayla and Dakota; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; also a special niece, Lisa Kierstead and husband, Keith. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Hall and all her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home.
