MILFORD – Edgar Erwin Buxton Sr., 78, passed away Feb. 26, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 23, 1928, in Old Town, the son of Linwood and Crissie (Anderson) Buxton. Edgar served our country in the Air Force after World War II, and during part of his service he was stationed in Germany. Edgar was an avid beekeeper. He used his carpentry skills to build many homes. He was also an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Edgar was a devout Christian and member of the United Pentecostal Church of Cardville. He was a man of many words, infinite wisdom and witty humor. Edgar was a generous man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law, Robert Stitham; grandson, Bruce Stitham; brothers, Linwood, Theodore, Frank, Alfred and Ronald Buxton; and sisters, Opal Pruitt and Barbara Levesque. Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Velma (Fowler) Buxton; children, Michael Buxton, Daniel Buxton, Valerie Stitham, Llewellyn Buxton and his wife, Daniela, Edgar Buxton Jr. and his wife, Linda, and Belinda Arey and her husband, Owen; 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Palmer Buxton; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at United Pentecostal Church of Cardville, 148 Cardsridge Road, Greenbush, where a celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, with the Rev. William Roix officiating. Interment will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Pentecostal Church, Building Fund, care of Rev.
