GREENBUSH – Edwin Will-ard Twitchell, 79, died July 28, 2006, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. He was born Oct. 16, 1926, a son of Harry and Blanche Twitchell. Edwin enjoyed gardening, picking berries; special times with his grandchildren and was always ready for a good joke. He was employed by the Sate Highway Department for 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Hattie B. Twitchell; four children, Billy and Debra Twitchell, Roxanne C. Twitchell, Rosemary L. Twitchell and Arthur and Robin Twitchell, all of Greenbush; five grandchildren, Mary and Bill Thomas, Amanda and Tedd Williams, Kevin W. Twitchell and fiance, Mariah Marceron, Jessica L. Twitchell, Joshua H. Twitchell; nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Earl, Dennis, Andrew, Matthew, Noah, Devin, Faith and Bethany; four sisters, Marguerite “Rita” Willis, Mary and Donald Flatt, Geraldine “Jean” Rollins and Joan Johnston; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Winifred E. Twitchell; and a brother, Walter F. Twitchell. A graveside service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenbush Cemetery, Route 2, Greenbush, with Pastor Carl R. Smith officiating. Immediately after the service there will be a celebration of life gathering at Billy Twitchell’s home, 941 Main Rd., Greenbush.
