CASWELL – Edwina Lavoie, 73, died April 19, 2005, at a Caribou nursing home. She was born in Caswell, Sept. 14, 1931, the daughter of Alfred and Anna (King) Labreck. She is survived by two sons, Gary Lavoie of Phoenix, Ariz. and Joseph A. Lavoie Jr. of Fort Fairfield; three sisters, Bertha Rocker of Vernon, Conn., Jeannette Hebron of Milford, Pa. and Joan Qualters of Winchester, N.H.; five half-sisters, Carmen Cote of Bristol, Conn., Florence King of Las Vegas, Nev., Annie Shoak of Louisville, Ky., Yvette Harmon of Mississippi, Pauline Lumbra of Bangor, and Theresa Kelly of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; four half-brothers, Glen Labreck and Lawrence Labreck, both of Caswell, Dennis Labreck of Fort Fairfield, and Alfred Labreck of Caribou; four grandchildren, Scott Lavoie, Britany Lavoie, Paige Lavoie and Joshua Castonguay. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Lavoie Sr. in 1997 and by a son, Stephen Lavoie in 1994. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later this spring.
