EAST MILLINOCKET and WELLSVILLE, N.Y. – Elaine Paradzsik, 73, passed away Friday, March 4, 2005, at a South Carolina Hospital. She was born March 11, 1931, in Waterville, the daughter of Dr. Basil and Doris (Stainsby) O’Grady. Elaine was the first woman to be senior buyer at Copes Vulcan Company in Erie, Pa. She loved to travel, especially to Myrtle Beach, her favorite destination. Elaine lived in East Millinocket until 1973, when she relocated to Fairview, Pa. In 1994, she moved to Wellsville, N.Y., where she has resided since. Elaine is survived by her husband, Steve Paradzsik of Wellsville; two children, Michael Butts of Portland and Cheryl Sanfacon and her husband, Dennis, of Ardmore, Pa.; one grandson, Samuel Butts; one stepdaughter, Trudy DeMarte and her husband, Larry; two stepsons, Eric and David Demarte; her sister, Barbara Drew; and her brother, Don O’Grady. She was predeceased by her first husband, Merrill G. Butts in 1964. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 17 Western Avenue, East Millinocket. Burial will be at East Millinocket Cemetery in the spring. If friends wish, gifts in memory of Elaine may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
