FALMOUTH and STEUBEN Eleanor Kathleen Pinkham-Crosby, loving daughter of Lester Howard and Eva Amelia died March 10, 2004. She was proud and dedicated to her family; cared for her sister, Gertrude and father until his death. She raised five children after the death of her husband, James Davidson. Eleanor’s home was always a warm inviting place with aromas of fresh baked treats. She was a prize winning pastry baker and would share her delicacies with friends and neighbors. She loved spending time planting and maintaining her garden. Her generosity extended beyond her family and friends to those less fortunate. As an active volunteer in the community she was involved in helping young people, especially in the area of literacy. In keeping with Eleanor’s tradition of giving there will be a food box at the house or donations payable to the Alzheimer’s Association/Cancer Society of your choice. She is survived by one daughter, Jane; one son, Dale; one cousin, Susie Stevens Watson; nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Eva Amelia; two sons, Gordon and Bertram; three sisters, Elizabeth Burnham, Gertrude Aressa and Mary Ada. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at the family home, 138 Dyer Bay Road, Steuben. Arrangements by Bragdon Kelly Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Burial will immediately follow in the Steuben Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to return to the home after the burial.
