LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Eleanor Zaichick, 77, passed away Oct. 20, 2004, after a brief illness. She was born on March 30, 1927, oldest daughter of the late Ben and Sarah Skylar. Eleanor attended Old Town schools and graduated from Old Town High School in 1944. Eleanor was a resident of Las Vegas for more than 30 years. She enjoyed dining out, movies, her dogs and keeping in touch with close friends and family. Eleanor is survived by one son, Lee Zaichick of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, David Skylar of Tampa, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband in 1998, and a younger brother, Maynard Skylar in 1994. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, graveside and chapel at Palm Mortuary, Las Vegas, Nev. Contributions can be sent to the Humane Society or SPCA to protect dogs.
