LITCHFIELD, Conn. – Elizabeth Marie (Hunter) Braddock, 91, of Wells Run, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at Haven Health Care Center in Torrington, Conn. She was the wife of the late James Braddock. Mrs. Braddock was born April 22, 1914, in Washburn, the daughter of the late Ebenezer and Georgia (Crouse) Hunter. She moved from Maine to Bristol, Conn. In 1960, and then to Litchfield in 1973. A homemaker and mother she is survived by 10 sons, Lester and Gladen of South Windsor, Conn., Robert, Dennis, Paul, Gary and David of Bristol, Conn., Roger of Simsbury, Conn., Steven of Hawinton, Conn. and Donald of West Stockholm, N.Y.; three daughters, Wilma Keene of Morris, Conn., Joyce Meagher of Naughtuck, Conn. and Paula Plissey of Washburn; a sister, Dorothy Conley; a brother, Nathan Hunter; 53 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, James Jr. and Kent; a daughter, Barbara. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield, Conn. Burial will be in Crouseville Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 10 a.m. until the time of service.
