BELFAST – Elsie T. Jenness, 78, passed away Nov. 12, 2007, at Tall Pines Health Care Facility, Belfast. She was born May 16, 1929, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Hollis C. and Eleanor (Tankard) Turner. She and her husband owned and operated Rollie’s Caf?, Belfast for years and she cooked at the Deborah Lincoln House. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the pants factory. Elsie was an avid reader, who enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles in her spare time. She enjoyed her group of friends and looked forward to her bridge games. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Reginald Jenness; two sons, Ronald and Richard; and a sister. Elsie is survived by her children, Barbara Carey and her husband, Thomas, of Winter Park, Fla., Randall Jenness and his wife, Kay, of Belfast, and Robert Jenness of Belfast; grandchildren, Thomas and Kevin Carey, Sarah Jenness, Tyler Jenness; great-grandchildren, Serena and Samantha Carey; many extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with the Rev. Ken Parker officiating. Burial will be at Grove Cemetery.
