PEMBROKE – Pembroke Emma Bell (Pulk) Winchester, 73, of Pembroke, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at a Calais hospital, following a long illness. Emma was born March 4, 1932, in Pembroke, the daughter of the late Maurice and Florence Pulk. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Everett “Pilly” Winchester Sr.; her daughters, Sally (Pulk) Crane, Barbara Wentworth; and son-in-law, Dana Wentworth; two grandchildren, William Smith and Matthew Wentworth; sisters, Alice Emery, Mary Emery and Gertrude Ayers. She is survived by her son, Lloyd E. “Pill” Winchester Jr. and his wife, Linda Winchester; daughter, Sandra Nystrom and son-in-law, Carl Nystrom, all of Pembroke; sisters, Hazel Townsend of Westbrook, Jeanette Seeley of Portland, Pricilla Small and her husband, Harry Small, Hilda Farris and her husband, James Farris, of Pembroke; one brother, Maurice Pulk of Pembroke. Emma leaves six special grandchildren and five special great-grandchildren. Emma also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Flagg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Pembroke, with Pastor Gary Kinney officiating, interment in Forest Hill Cemetery, Pembroke.
