DANFORTH – Evelyn L. Schillinger Gorrill, 77, died Feb. 18, 2006, in Redfield, Ark. She was born April 26, 1928, in Lincoln, the daughter of Orlando and Annie (King) Shaw. Evelyn worked on the farm with her first husband, Karl, was a housewife for many years and worked as a CNA at a local nursing home. Everyone in town knew her for her cooking, which she loved to share with others. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Anna Huff of Danforth; two brothers, Orlando Shaw Jr. and Mary of Patten and Rodney Mushero and Sandria of Kewaunee, Wis.; two grandchildren, Jessica Huff and D.J. Huff; sister-in-law and caregiver (for which the family is very grateful) for four months, Mona Sanford and Joe of Jefferson, Ark.; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves special friends, Gilberta Spinney, Beatrice Langille and Heather Bonner; and her two beloved dogs, Chino and Brandy. She was predeceased by her first husband, Karl Schillinger; her second husband, Harry Gorrill; her son, Dellas “Sam” Huff; a sister, Lula Lee; and two brothers, Bernard Shaw and Richard Shaw. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home – Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Rd., Danforth. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Root, officiating. After the service, there will be a reception at Grand Lake Grange. Spring interment will be in Danforth Cemetery.
