EAST MILLINOCKET – Fernande B. (Cyr) Ingalls, 82, wife of the late Robert E. Ingalls, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Fort Kent, the daughter of John and Edna (Daigle) Cyr. Mrs. Ingalls was a graduate of Fort Kent Teachers College, and afterward, taught school in Limestone and East Millinocket. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in East Millinocket and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Ferne was well known locally for her rug hooking and taught rug hooking for more than 25 years. She is survived by her children, daughters, Roberta Goddard and husband, Ronald, of Bangor, Louise Vose and husband, Charles, of Ipswich, Mass., Judy Yeo and husband, David, of Glenburn, Julie Lebel and husband, Paul, of Beverly, Mass.; sons, Thomas Ingalls and wife, Ruth, of East Millinocket, Stephen Ingalls and wife, Antonia, of East Millinocket; a sister, Dolores Levesque of Saco; three brothers, Renauld Cyr of Livermore Falls, John Paul Cyr of Delaware, and Roderick Cyr of Connecticut; Ferne is also survived by, and was very, very, proud of her 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and more than 45 nieces and nephews. She also leaves a very special friend, Dorothy MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, whom she married in 1946; a son, Robert J. Ingalls; a sister, Rita Cyr; and two brothers, Lawrence Cyr and Roland Cyr. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 9, at R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 17 Western Avenue, East Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, East Millinocket. Burial will follow in East Millinocket Cemetery.
