BUCKSPORT – F. June (Betts) Murray, 82, died Dec. 29, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 21, 1923, in Bethel, Conn., daughter of Frank C. and Grace (Betz) Betts. She was raised in Danbury, Conn. and was a longtime resident of Bucksport. She was active in The Bucksport Church of God, enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing needlework and was known for her cake decorating skills. She will be deeply missed. June is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo H. Murray of Bucksport; children, Vivien “Skip” Wardwell and her husband, Raymond, of Verona Island, Larry Murray and his wife, Mary, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bruce Murray and his wife, Linda of Orland, Gary Murray and his wife, Marilyn, of Bucksport, Scott Murray of Bucksport, Robert Murray and his wife, Sharon, of Morristown, N.J.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Thomas, Jason, Susan, Joyce, Michael; several great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Betz Jr. of Ellsworth; sisters, Lottie Schlimmer and Helen Reinhold, both of Danbury, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Pastor Ken Davenport, officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service. Spring interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Orland.
