CORINNA – Fred D. Annis, 74, husband of Caroline (Pearl) Annis, went home to be with his Lord, Dec. 6, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1931, at Bangor, a son of Winfield and Minnie (Berry) Annis. After the death of his mother and father, he was raised to the age of 12 by his older sister, Ellen Dow. In 1942, he went to live with Maynard and Bertha Hatch on their farm. After their death, Freddie and Caroline carried on the farm until their retirement in 2000, when the farm was sold. Fred was a member of the Dexter Pentecostal Church for 30 years where he served as deacon and treasurer. At the time of his death, he was attending the Jubilee Family Worship Center in Newport. In addition to his wife of 47 years, of Corinna, he is survived by a daughter, Darlene and husband, David Sharpe, of Corinna; a sister, Frances Dyer of Corinna; two granddaughters, Brittany Sharpe of Corinna and Traci Boyce and her fiance, Dave Bartlett, of Stetson; a great-granddaughter, Katlyn Boyce of Washburn; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Norman and two sisters, Bertha and Ellen. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Rd., Corinna, with the Reverends Carl Engstrom and Brian Woodbury officiating.
