EAST MACHIAS – Fred “Ted” E. Dennison Jr., 58, died Nov. 11, 2005, at Down East Com-munity Hospital, due to complications from pneumonia. He was born July 30, 1947, in East Machias, the son of the late Fred E. Dennison Sr. and Phyllis (Renshaw) Dennison. He attended and graduated from East Machias Schools. Growing up, he enjoyed taking Sunday rides with his family and playing on the Little League Team. Fred served in the U.S. Navy in the 1st Division on the USS ASHTABULA in Hong Kong during the Vietnam era. He worked at the Blueberry Hill Experimental Station/UMO for over 35 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Marilee (Leighton) Dennison; sister, Donna Danforth and husband, Larry, of East Machias; in-laws, Jennie and William Leighton; sister-in-law, Sharon Leighton; brother-in-law, Michael Leigh-ton and wife, Holly, all of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Allison Applebee and husband, Vinal, of Orono; nieces, Debbie, Gidget, Nicole and Brooke; and nephews, Mike, Zachary and Kaiden. Visitation will take place 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 6 Cooper St., Machias, where a funeral service will follow 2 p.m. officiated by Kristan Larson.
