GREENVILLE – Freda M. Keirstead, 94, wife of the late Norman C. Keirstead, died March 4, 2005, at Charles A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born Dec. 7, 1910, in Greenville, the daughter of Joseph B. and Agnes (Jardine) Potter. She was a member of the Union Evangelical Church, U.C.C., Laura Davidson Missionary Society, the Thrift Shop and the Ready Workers, and loved working with each one. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Clarice A. and Joseph W. Jardine of Greenville; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kathleen J. and Stephen Carlson, of Greenville, S.C., and Deborah J. and Scott Bakken and their son and daughter, Ryan J. Elliott and Paige Bakken of Pensacola, Fla. Freda also has many cousins and very good friends in New Brunswick, Canada. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman “Jimmy” Keirstead; two sons, Neil and Clay Keirstead; three brothers, Elvin F. Potter, David K. Potter and Joseph M. Potter. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Greenville Cemetery. Arrange-ments by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
