ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – Fred Crocker, 90, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at the Hospice care center of Wuesthoff Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Crocker was born Aug. 1, 1915, in Old Town, son of Fred and Audeline Crocker. A celebration of her life will be held in July of 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Portland, or a charity of your choice. He attended local schools and the University of Maine where he was active in all sports, especially tennis and basketball. He lived in Augusta most of his life before moving to Rockledge. He was a manufacturing representative in the industrial sales field. He was a member of the Masons, Elks and an Episcopalian. Mr. Crocker was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golf, fishing, boating and hunting. His special place was his log cabin in the Rangeley Lakes area of Maine. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Frances; and his younger brother, Harold. Survivors include daughters, Sandra Bonifacio of Titusville, Fla., and Connie Crocker of Auburn; brother, Samuel Crocker and wife, Aldine, of Brewer; sister-in-law, Florine of Old Town; grandchildren, James and Jeff Canto of Arizona; and four great-grandchildren, several nephews and one niece. Private services will be held. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements by Wylie Baxley Funeral Home, Rockledge, Fla.
