MADAWASKA – Gaetane G. Hebert, 75, passed away peacefully Aug. 22, 2007, in Madawaska. She was born June 8, 1932, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, the daughter of Hormidas and Amanda (Dumais) Bard. Gaetane is survived by six children, Marilyn and her husband, Steve Nakas, of Canada, Linda and her husband, Paul Albert, Lionel “June” and his wife, Jovette Hebert, Kathleen and her husband, Ron Pelletier, all of Madawaska, Carol and her husband, Mike Dionne, of St. David, Lisa VanBiene and her fianc?, Dan Saltmarsh, of New Hampshire; a special son-in-law, Karl VanBiene of Massachusetts; one sister, Anita Verret; 11 grandchildren, Joann, Peter, Andrew, Matthew, Mark, Corey, Erin, Kallie, Sarah, Heather, and Nakita; one great-grandson, Harrison; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Snoopy. She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel “Pete” Hebert, in 1987; a daughter, Patricia Hebert; and a grandchild, Jayson Nakas. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call noon until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gaetane’s memory may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
