GLENBURN – George T. Burns Sr., 66, husband of Flora M. (Reynolds) Burns, died Nov. 16, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Dec. 8, 1938, in Orono, the son of Herbert and Doris (Sargent) Burns. George was a devoted husband and father. He and Flora were married for 40 years. He worked for the City of Bangor for 29 years with the public works department. He is survived by his wife of Glenburn; five children, George Burns Jr. of East Corinth, Peggy Brown of Addison, Ronald Burns of Bangor, Ricky Burns of Fort Belvoir, Va. and Timothy Burns of Glenburn; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Priscilla Guerin of Brewer; one brother, Herbert Burns Jr. of Bolivia, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where family and friends may visit from 1 until the beginning of the service.
