WARREN – George W. Scott, Jr., 75, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Windward Gardens, Camden. George was born on June 4, 1929, in Bangor, the son of George W. Scott Sr., and Mabel Simpson Scott. He was a graduate of Crosby High School, Belfast, Class of 1947. He continued his education at the University of Maine, Orono. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was co-owner of the family business of Frost and Wilkins, Inc. for many years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years retiring as Postmaster in Camden. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Scott; his parents; and his grandson, Mike Sabins in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Scott of Warren; daughters, Susan Starrett of Farmington, Mary Sabins Scot of Union. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
