MILLINOCKET – Gilbert Burton “Terry” Moran III, died Wednesday night, Sept. 13, 2006, after a long illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Millinocket, the son of Gilbert Burton and Ruth (Shannon) Moran II. He graduated from Stearns High School, attended Ricker College and graduated from the University of Maine – Orono. Gilbert also served two tours in the U.S. Navy in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He was an ironworker for many years, working in many different states. Gilbert leaves behind his wife, Chavala (Delong) Moran of Millinocket; four sons, Gilbert Burton Moran IV of Biddeford, Robert Moran and his fianc?e, Janene Stewart, of Houlton, Stephen Moran of Houlton and Christopher Moran of Old Orchard; two granddaughters, Chelsea Moran and Jillian Moran; a sister, Jean Evans; three cousins, Phillip Moran, Peter Moran and Dwinal Moran; and four nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a date to be announced.
