MADAWASKA – Gilberte (Ouellette) Garon, 87, died at a local nursing facility April 23, 2005. She was born Dec. 31, 1917, in Lille, daughter of Fortunat and Emily (Beaupre) Ouellette. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Madawaska. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Garon. She is survived by one son, Don and his wife, Bernadette, of Madawaska; two daughters, Maureen and her husband, Paul Michaud, of Miami, Fla., and Charlene Garon of Madawaska; one sister, Yolande Levesque of Hartford, Conn.; three grandchildren, Brigitte Pelletier of Ohio, Charles Garon of Panama City, Fla. and Chris Garon of Tampa, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Carson Pelletier and Brianna Garon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, at the St. Thomas Church in Madawaska and interment will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Daigle Funeral Home and 9 a.m. till time of services Thursday.
