HOULTON, BRIDGEWATER and KENTUCKY – Glenwood A. “Glen” Corey, 82, died Sept. 26, 2004, at a Kentucky hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1921, at Bridgewater, the son of Arnold and Lillie (Burtt) Corey. Glen served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, fighting in the European, African and Middle Eastern Campaigns. He was the owner and operator of Corey Gulf Service in Littleton and a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty D. Corey of Peytonsburg, Ky.; two sons, Dean L. Corey and his wife, Linda, of Rivertown, Wyo., Kris Corey and his wife, Terri, of Statesville, N.C.; three daughters, Darlene (Corey) Porter and her husband, Ronald, of Redding, Mass., Ree Anne Matthews, Kim Thompson and her husband, Chris, all of Houlton; a stepson, John Wayne Daniel of Peytonsburg, Ky.; several grandchildren great-grand-children; one sister, Doris Codrey of Monticello; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Linwood; his sisters, Grace, Gladys and Beulah. Friends may call at the Bridgewater Baptist Church, 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Robert Vaughn officiating.
