ROCKLAND – Gloria Noyes Higgins, 61, passed away Nov. 5, 2005, in Falmouth after a lengthy illness. Gloria was born Oct. 4, 1944, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy Noyes, in Rockland where she graduated from Rockland High School in 1962. She graduated from beautician school in Lewiston and was a hair stylist in the Rockland area for many years, which includes operating her own shop “The Driftwood Beauty Salon.” Gloria was predeceased by her mother in February 1982. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Colleen of Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Heidi Higgins Kennedy and her husband of Windsor; a grandson, Victor Higgins of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Donna Dearborn and husband, Weston and Sylvia Birmingham and husband, Wilbur, of Rockland. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. According to her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
