VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., and LAMOINE – James Grafton Brann Sr., 75, of 900 Block Wyden Drive, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007. A native of Lamoine, he retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 26 years and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from QED Systems. James is survived by his son, James Grafton Brann Jr. and wife, Michelle; two daughters, Barbara Shields and Cindy Townsend of Virginia; one brother, Charles Linwood Brann Jr. and wife, Yvonne Brann, of Lamoine; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Brann and Leowne Bergeron, both of Lamoine; and his brother, Raymond Brann of Hancock Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, Va., by the Rev. Dick Dinges. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. April 28, at Forrest Hill Cemetery, Lamoine. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
