BAILEYVILLE – Gregory Martin Annis, 55, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 12, 2007, at his home. Greg was born Dec. 12, 1951, in Calais, son of Milton and Regina (Drotar) Annis. He graduated from Woodland High School, Class of 1970 and from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1972. He married Denise Hood, Sept. 5, 1970, in Baileyville. Greg was employed as a millwright with Georgia Pacific and Domtar in Baileyville for 35 years. Along with his wife, he owned and operated G&D Landscaping for more than 14 years. Greg was a communicant of St. James the Greater R.C. Church, Baileyville, and a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a registered Boy Scout and a mentor for local Girl Scouts. Greg enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Vermont. He also enjoyed target shooting, sci-fi movies, the outdoors, Christmas, and the fall season. Greg most enjoyed spending time with his wife and two daughters. He was predeceased by his father, Milton Annis; and a special friend, “Gramp Libby.” Surviving are his loving wife of more than 36 years, Denise Annis; two daughters, Tracy Adrianne Annis and husband, Jeffrey Cohen, of Las Vegas, and Becky Marie Boudrow and husband, James, of Corinth, Vt.; his mother, Regina Annis of Baileyville; two brothers, Stephen Annis and wife, Lorraine, of Baileyville, and David Annis and wife, Jennifer, of Levant; a niece, Crystal Annis; a nephew, Nathaniel Annis; his feline companion, Tasha Yar; and many cousins. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James the Greater R.C.
