BANGOR – Harley Chase Pulk, 89, of Bangor, died June 3, 2004, at a local healthcare center. He was born Oct. 30, 1914, in Princeton, the son of Fred Morton Pulk and Hattie Blanche (Fenlason) Pulk. Harley received his certificate in accounting from LaSalle Extension College of Chicago and completed summer courses at Williams College. He was employed for 32 years by the Merchants National Bank of Bangor, retiring as comptroller. Harley was a member of All Souls Congregational Church and a life member and past master of Rising Virtue Lodge No. 10 AF & AM of Bangor. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Kingsbury) Pulk of Bangor; two daughters, Gail (Pulk) Pozzuto and her husband, George, of Milan, N.H., Donna (Pulk) Brown of Indialantic, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Steve, Randy, Scott and his fianc?e, Tonya, Jeff and his wife, Angela, Aaron and Melissa; one great-granddaughter, Madison Nicole Kniss; a sister, Nina White; and one nephew, James White, both of Brewer. He was predeceased by a son, Brian J. Pulk in 1979. The Pulk family is grateful to the staff and nurses of the Stillwater Healthcare for their loving care of Harley. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2004, at All Souls Congregational Church in Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. James L. Haddix, pastor and teacher, the Rev. Mrs. Renee Garrett, minister of Christian nurture and the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, director of Chaplaincy services at EMMC officiating. The family invites friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church vestry immediately following the service on Monday. Interment will be in the Danville Green Cemetery, Danville, Vt.
