EASTBROOK – Harris Henry “Moto” Clark, 70, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007. He was born May 11, 1937, in Eastbrook, the son of Harris L. and Audrey (French) Clark. He was a member of the Eastbrook Volunteer Fire Department, the Hancock County Firemen’s Association, a 50-year member of the Greenwood Grange No. 363 of Eastbrook, a member of the Eastbrook Fish and Game Association, and had been membership chairman for many years. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Bangor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following the fair circuit working for various vendors. He had just returned from Skowhegan State Fair before he fell ill. In earlier years he worked for N.E. Packing Co. of Franklin, where he earned the nickname “Moto” which followed him the rest of his life. He drove a truck for E.S. Herrick Blueberry Co., and mowed and burned blueberry land. For many winters he drove a taxicab in Bangor. He was a kind, considerate and compassionate loving person. If he heard of someone who was not feeling well he was always the first person to call and with a cheery voice would say “Good morning dear, how are you today?” He loved to talk and visit with people. If he saw a flower garden he would often stop and tell the owner what pretty flowers they had. He will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched in his own way and especially by those who saved returnable bottles for him. He was often told not to buy cigarettes with the money, as they weren’t good for him. His reply “I know.” If anyone wishes they may either give the money or bottles to the Eastbrook Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 55, Franklin, ME 04634, in his memory. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth and his wife, Ellie, of Westmoreland, N.H.; three special nephews, Kenny and his wife, Judith, Ricky and his wife, Teri, and Michael and his wife, Brandi; many cousins; and a very special cousin, Samantha, who he always called “My girl” you know who I’m talking about. A graveside service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Sunny Side Cemetery, Eastbrook.
