ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – Harry B. Derry, 74, died June 28, 2005, in Venice, Fla. He was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Bangor, and moved to Englewood, Fla. from Cape Elizabeth in 1991. Mr. Derry was a Federal Court Reporter in Portland, for 30 years before his retirement in 1988. He attended our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Suncoast Cathedral Metropolitan Community Church in Venice, Fla. He was a member of the Lambda Antique Car Club International, the Gulf Coast Men’s Chorus, past president of the U.S. Court Reporters Association and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Survivors include his significant other, Don Fenwick, of Englewood, Fla.; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, William Derry; stepmother, Cecelia Derry; mother, Laura Kelley; and brother, Paul Derry. He will be fondly remembered by his cousins, Betty Inman and her husband, Mike, of Glenburn, John Collins, of Hermon; and Mike Inman Jr. and his wife, Leanne, of Westbrook. Services were held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Fla. A graveside service will be held for family and friends noon Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Outer Hammond Street, Bangor. <>
