BAR HARBOR – Harry “Hicker” Higgins Parsons, 87, died May 31, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Bar Harbor, the son of John E. and Annie (Higgins) Parsons. Harry enjoyed playing golf, his gardening and tree work. He is survived by his loving companion of 53 years, Annie Wheaton of Bar Harbor; one brother, Harland Parsons and his companion, Shirley Conklin, of Salisbury Cove; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held noon Tuesday, June 5, at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. Contributions in Harry’s memory may be made to Mount Desert Island YMCA, P.O. Box 51, Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
