PRESQUE ISLE – Hazel M. Cray, 89, wife of the late Harold Cray, died Oct. 5, 2003, at a Mars Hill Healthcare Facility. She was born May 4, 1914, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Alexander and Maude (Brown) Doak. She was a member of the Christian Life Assembly in Presque Isle. Mrs. Cray had been employed at The Aroostook Medical Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing Aggravation. She is survived by a step-son, James Cray and his wife, Cheryl, of Washburn; three step-daughters, Lona Barnes and her husband, William, of Hudson, N.H., Peggy Theriault and her husband, Larry, of Caribou, Debra Nicholson and her husband, Budd, of Easton; nine step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Doody and her husband, Mac, of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Ray Wasson and his wife, Sue, of Presque Isle. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two brothers, James Doak and Earl Doak; three sisters, Gladys Drost, Stella Greenlaw and Elizabeth Wasson. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Life Assembly in Presque Isle, with the Rev. David McIntyre officiating. Friends and relatives may call from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
