CHERRYFIELD – Howard Alonzo Brooks, 48, passed away unexpectedly in his home. He was born March 11, 1957, in Steuben, the son of John H. Brooks Sr. of Old Orchard Beach and Sylvia E. (Phinney) Brooks of Cherryfield. Mr. Brooks spent many years working in logging, landscaping, and claming. He went to school in Steuben and Old Orchard Beach. In addition to his parents, family members include two brothers, James Brooks of Steuben, John H. Brooks, Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Steuben; four sisters, Frances Tucker and her husband, Francis, of Cherryfield, Terry Lee Mullarky and her husband, Kevin, of Kennebunk, Ann Lyons and her fianc?, Don Hamlin, of Biddeford, Doris Varney and her husband, Ed, of Durham; many nieces and nephews including, Chris, Nick, Amanda, Sara, Jennifer, Samantha, Raymond, Sylvia, Adrianna, Justin, Jason, and Joey and several great-nieces, great-nephews and several aunts uncles and cousins. A Celebration of life will be held in the spring. Cremation arrangements are by the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell of Milbridge.
