MILBRIDGE – Howard Miller Meunier died March 23, 2006, at the Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility at the age of 83. “Popsie,” as he was known to his friends, was a long time resident in Ellsworth and more recently in Milbridge. The son of Dr. Raymond Meunier and mother Katherine, he was raised in Indian Orchard, Mass. A graduate of Columbia University’s Bard College, he taught in private schools and later lived several years in Europe before returning home to care for his invalid mother for many years. Howard will be remembered with much love and affection by his many cousins, a nephew and two nieces, his dear friend, Robert Quinn and his many friends in Maine. At his request his remains were donated to the Harvard Medical School.
