CARIBOU – Ida D. Damboise, 93, wife of the late Fidele Damboise, died Feb. 10, 2004, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born at St. Basile, N.B., Canada, March 4, 1910, the daughter of Paul and Alice (Albert) Dufour. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family and was employed at Bird’s Eye Division of General Foods for more than 23 years. Ida was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Daughter’s of Isabella. She was a member of the Catholic Golden Age Club, the Caribou R.S.V.P. and was past president of the Caribou Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by two grandchildren, Gail Jean of Bristol, Conn. and Mark Kelley of Florence, S.C.; three great-grandchildren, Christian Kelley, Michelle Allison and Sean Allison and a son-in-law, Philip Kelley of Port Charlotte, Fla.; nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by her husband in 1986, her daughter, Ida Kelley in 1996; three sisters, Emily Corbin, Aura Saucier and Stella LaPointe; a grandson, Gary Kelley in 1988 and a granddaughter, Heather Allison in 1999. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 from 9 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
