BANGOR – Jacqueline (Bolwell) Davis, 76, died June 12, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Newport, the daughter of Jack and Grace Bolwell. Jackie graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1947. She was heavily involved with the First Congregational Church in Fort Pierce, where she spent her winters. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Oscar William Davis; four children, Valerie J. Kitchen and her husband, Nelson W., of Bangor, Nancy Ann Groves and her husband, Thomas, of Columbia, S.C., Robert W. Davis and his wife, Victoria V., of Jupiter, Fla., Scott Davis and his wife, Lola, of Boca Raton, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Aaron and Heather Kitchen, Andrew and Tina Grover, Taylor and Graham Davis and Wesley and Gabriela Davis. Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Thursday June 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, with the Rev. Dr. James L Haddix, pastor and teacher of All Souls Congregational Church of Bangor, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
