BANGOR – Jacquelyn (Taylor) Clarke, 82, wife of the late Donald Edward Clarke, died Dec. 4, 2006, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born May 2, 1924, in Bangor, the daughter of William and Christine (Noyes) Taylor. She worked as the payroll supervisor for Meriden Wallingford Hospital in Connecticut for 25 years. She enjoyed watching sports, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Lewis and her husband, John R., of Durham, Conn.; 11 grandchildren, Debbie Wilson, Edward Isbister III, John Isbister, Darlene Isbister, Jackie Sicilia, Kris Knoob, Tracey Wilson, Jane Carotenuto, Rick Hook, Lori Lewis, and Jen Schnabel; 20 great-grandchildren; six brothers, William A. Taylor Jr., Edward P. Taylor, Donald G. Taylor, Robert G. Taylor, Charlie P. Taylor, Joseph L. Taylor; one sister, Janet R. Robinson, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Patricia M. Isbister and Donna J. Hook; one granddaughter, Nikki Isbister; two brothers, Thomas A. Haye and Earland S. Haye; one sister, Suzanne M. Taylor. A special thank you to Ed Scott, New Hope Hospice, and the wonderful staff at the Maine Memorial Veterans’ Homes, Bangor, for all the care and consideration shown to “Jackie” and her family. A funeral service will be held 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. Friends may call noon until time of service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments Saturday after the service to the Brookings-Smith, Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
