ALBANY, N.Y. – Mr. James W. “Sandy” Sandefur of 3303 Deans Road, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Roberta, Mr. Sandefur lived in Albany since 1952. He was a sales representative with National Linen Service for 35 years. Mr. Sandefur was a member of Elks Lodge 713 and attended First Baptist Church in Albany. Survivors include his wife, Ginny Lake Sandefur of Albany; three sons, James W. Sandefur Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Kennesaw, Bill Sandefur Sr. and his wife, Sally, of Albany, Rob Sandefur and his wife, Susan, of Leesburg; a stepson, Rick Chamberlain of Scarborough; a brother, Walter Lee Sandefur of Fort Valley; sisters, Gloria Cox of Macon, Uleen Anderson of Wilmington, N.C., Sue King of St. Augustine, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
