SWANVILLE – Jasmyn Lee Jackson, 22, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. She was born Nov. 10, 1985, the daughter of Meg Michaelin and Lee Jackson. Jasmyn graduated from Belfast Area High School, Class of 2004 with honors, and was a proud alumni of Belfast Community Outreach Program in education. She worked in the education department of MBNA, and was involved with many volunteer groups for kids and education. She then went on to work at Penobscot Bay Children’s Dentistry as a dental assistant. Jasmyn enjoyed a child like sense of humor. She was very caring and her friends and family meant everything to her. Jasmyn enjoyed traveling, motorcycles, loved UFC, she also liked to scrapbook and do crafts. She loved children very much, and Jasmyn and her mother were best friends. Jasmyn was a loyal and trusted friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Meg Stockwell and husband, Benjamin, of Swanville; her father, Lee Jackson and wife, Susan, of Monroe; her life partner, Trevor Canning of Swanville; her half brother, Keagan Oliver; half sister, Lida Chamberland; maternal grandmother, Maryjane Wood of Belfast; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jackson of Belfast; stepgrandparents, John and Rose Stockwell of Capetown, South Africa; adopted grandfather, Marshal Cole of Holden; great-aunt, Michelle Hatton of New York City; great-uncle, John C. Woods of Fort Myers, Fla.; her uncle, Timothy James Michaelin and wife, Stacy, of Port Richey, Fla.; her aunts, Lourene Rich of Belfast, Lois Dutch and husband, Greg, of Belfast, Rainey Jackson of Searsport; her cousins, Ian, Abbey, Todd and wife, Jan, Fred, Donnyce, James and Laura; and many close friends, who will miss her dearly.
