CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jason Kenneth Finch, 34, passed away Oct. 21, 2007. Jason graduated from South Mecklenburg High School, Charlotte, N.C., but was originally from Maine, which he still considers home. He was a general contractor and co-owner of Wood and Block Co. since 2002. Jason loved fishing, hunting, music, paintball, motorcycling and numerous artistic endeavors. His warm heart and gentle soul touched everyone he knew, and his goofiness kept us laughing. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Finch of Charlotte, N.C.; his parents, Kenneth and Deborah Finch of Oxnard, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Amy Finch of Wilmington, N.C.; parents-in-law, Phil and Carolyn Powell of Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Steve Duffy of Kailua, Hawaii; grandfather, Kenneth A. Snow-man of Hampden; aunts and uncles, Catherine and Harold Cohen of Pensacola, Fla., Andrew and Meredith Snowman of Woodland, Kathy and David Richardson of Dedham, Irene Finch and Linda Labonte of Harrison, and John Finch and Doug Mays of Powell, Tenn.; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and business associates. A visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, N.C. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Pineville United Methodist Church, 110 Polk St., Pineville, N.C.
