BLAIR, Neb. – Jeannean A. Johnson, 72, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Blair Memorial Hospital. Jeannean was born May 19, 1936, in Portland. She was the daughter of Richard and Emma (McGraw) Porter. She graduated from Patten High School. She lived in Maine and was a registered nurse. On Jan. 5, 1956, she married Harold Johnson in Maine. They moved to Hastings, Neb., where he was a practicing physician. They later moved to Omaha, Neb., where Jeannean worked at Clarkson Hospital. In 1992 they moved to Blair, Neb., where she was residing at the time of her death. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Mark Stadie of Omaha, Neb., Kim and Steve Poynter of Albuquerque, N.M.; son, Harold Johnson II of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard and Andrew Porter, both of Maine. Jeannean was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harold, February of 1999; daughter, Sherry Lee Zibafar; and one granddaughter, Meagan. Funeral services for Jeannean Johnson will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be at Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements by Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, Blair, Neb.
