BAR HARBOR – Jian Jia, 34, died Oct. 15, 2006, after a tragic accident in Boston. She grew up in southwest China province and moved to Iowa at age 26 to continue her education in graduate school. She was a lovely lady, a very kind person, a dedicated employee and a passionate and loving wife, in her short, but beautiful life. She was best known among her friends and co-workers for her charming smiles and compassion. She cared about other people more than herself and often carried others’ burdens on her shoulders. She is survived by her husband, Lihong Zhao of Bar Harbor, who sadly misses the sunshine she brought into his life; her parents, Mr. Yuegao Jia and Mrs. Houquin Jin; her brother, Zhaoyu Jia; and sister, Jing Jia. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Donations in her memory can be sent to The Jackson Laboratory, care of Penny Fox, 610 Main St., Bar Harbor, ME 04609-1526. They will be used to study depression and related psychological disorders. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor.
