NORWALK, Conn. – Joan E. Robertucci, 76, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Norwalk Hospital. Born Dec. 8, 1929, in Bangor, she was the daughter of the late Victor I. and Mildred Morey Smith. Mrs. Robertucci was a devoted homemaker to her children and an employee of the U.S. postal service for 23 years. She was also an avid Bingo player. Mrs. Robertucci was a resident of Stamford before moving to Norwalk in November of 1991. Mrs. Robertucci is survived by her three daughters, Linda and son-in-law, Frank Lopriore, of Norwalk, Conn., Judy R. Goldkopf of Norwalk, Conn. and Sandra A. Sandlock of Riverside, Conn. Survivors also include a sister, Glenis Bell; and sister-in-law, Mary Smith, both of Bangor. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jodi, Gina, Benjamin and April and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Robertucci was predeceased by her former husband, Joseph R. Robertucci; her daughters, Brenda Lee Robertucci; a sister, Helen Beckett; and two brothers, Richard and Arnold Smith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, Conn. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, Conn. There will be a Memorial Service at a later date in Bangor. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, CT Affiliate, Inc., 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.
