GLENBURN – Robert D. Rostrup, 63, died Dec. 31, 2005, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1942, in New Orleans, La., the son of Alvin and Althea (Herr) Rostrup. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran from 1960-1987. After his retirement, he was employed as a U.S. postal worker until his death. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, reading, computers and especially enjoyed his birds, Mookie and Lucky and his golden retriever, Tyson. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janet Rostrup of Glenburn; one daughter, Maria and her husband, Joseph Allard, of Glenburn; two sons, Alvin and David Rostrup of Biloxi, Miss.; also three stepsons, Keith Bragg and his wife, Tami, of Winterport, Ralph Helms and his wife, Sandy, of Hermon and Alan Stone and his wife, Connie, of Bangor; nine grandchildren, Briana, Tiffany, Jamie, Megan, Ryan, Dereck, Erika, Sean and Amanda. He is also survived by one brother, Richard Rostrup and his wife, Barbara, of Metairie, La.; and his beloved mother-in-law, Evelyn McFadden of Bangor.
